A BRIEF HISTORY OF ORLANDO R.S.C.
In 1995, you could only watch the sporadic Rangers
games that were available in a Celtic-minded Irish pub or make a 4 hour
drive to the Florida Rangers Supporters Club in Fort Lauderdale.
Following an Old Firm game, watched in yet another Irish bar on St
Patrick's Day, 1996 a small band of loyal Blue Noses made the decision to form a local Rangers Supporters Club.
Determined to watch the famous Rangers week in and week out they founded
the Orlando Rangers Supporters Club and The Fox and Hounds Pub on Highway 192 in Kissimmee
were our gracious hosts
since the clubs official inception from 1998 - 2009.
Our club are proud members of the North American Rangers Supporters Association and manage to show an average of 55 live Rangers games each season. Our venue does charge an entrance fee of $10 per person, this fee goes toward paying the costs of the broadcast rights and satellite
to Setanta.
The club has given countless Bears from all over the world on their travels many happy memories and hopefully many more to come
... So if you have ever paid to visit to our little Rangers Club in the world’s number one tourist destination we would all like to thank you for stopping in and supporting one of the world’s smallest but finest RSCs,
we value your custom.
In 2009, another milestone for our RSC was reached, with the opening of
our new outlet in Orlando at The George and Dragon on International
Drive. This means that Rangers supporters in all parts of the City
are now within easy reach of watching The Gers every week.
We also announced our intention to propose Orlando as the host city for
the 2011 N.A.R.S.A. Convention. Watch this space.
